Contacts In the Contacts settings, you can choose your Grouping (I like to use By Category), Sort By style, View style and Icon views.
Category Icons You can assign icons to Categories, if you like that visual aid to your Calendar/Task/Contacts views. I like that they added the ability to insert icons of your own choosing. That way I can keep the icons consistent with what I use in Agenda Fusion (thought I'll admit, Spb has some nicer looking icons for some of the categories! I might just borrow those for use in Agenda Fusion!).
Using the application Now for the fun part - using Spb Diary! Icon Functionality This was one of the features that I first stumbled upon, and it's way cool. Let's say you have details in the notes section of an appointment. Want to see those notes on the fly? Just tap on the note icon, and viola! How about the reminder? What if you want to edit that on the fly? No problem - just tap on the reminder icon (the bell) and edit away! See examples of this in the animation below...
Calendar Pop-up We're just getting started with the bells & whistles this app contains! If you tap on the Calendar icon on the left, a nifty monthly calendar appears, allowing you ALL sorts of functionality for your calendar. Use it to navigate quickly to a day, week, month or year of your choice. Load a selection of days by dragging on the calendar (more on that in a moment)! Create a new Appointment or Task (which in my case, opens up Agenda Fusion right to that day, ready for me to enter data!). The options are many!
Loading a Selection and Collapsing/Expanding Views As I mentioned above, you can drag your stylus on the monthly calendar window and choose to load that selection. You can also tap and select certain days to collapse the view, and subsequently, expand the view of selected (or all) days shown. This could prove very handy if you have an entire month displayed. The animation below illustrates the loading of a selection, collapsing/expanding views as well as the functionality of the Header. A reminder that Header settings are adjusted in the General Options. If you have the header set to Always Hidden, then obviously it will never show up! I would not recommend that, as the Header gives you some way cool options...
